New certificate for the unemployed

February will see the launch of a completely new qualification for the unemployed. The Certificate will develop the skills needed in a modern production environment. Awarding Body Emta Awards Limited (EAL) has teamed up with the Sector Skills Council for Science, Engineering and Manufacturing Technologies (SEMTA) and the NAC Group to develop, accredit and market the qualification. This will have national recognition.

Following its launch, the new qualification will be taken on a road show, where it will be introduced to SEMTA’s extensive network of employers.
