On the look-out for 'green' graduates

The NAC Group will be looking for a number of graduates to recruit from Summer 2011. Coming from a range of disciplines, they will complement the existing staff skills and capabilities of the Group. Students studying at local universities or the Open University are encouraged to apply.

Paul Robson, NAC Group Managing Director, said: "Graduates will be struggling to find interesting and challenging jobs in the current economic climate. This move underlines our commitment to create jobs despite the economic downturn, and to recruit young talent from across the Region to help drive our business forward."

The 'green' graduates will help the NAC Group to shape the green skills agenda. They will undertake projects that support the development of the 'green collar' brand.

Two MSc students are already assisting the NAC Group, one in Development Management and one in New and Renewable Energy Engineering. The MSc may involve using some aspect of the NAC Group as a case study, or it can be an area of research interest to the company.

New 'green' graduate Alex Machin said: "I have really enjoyed my time working at the NAC Group. From day one I was thrown in at the deep end and was working on projects that had a real impact on the business. It's been great being exposed to how real business works, both at NAC and its clients, and to apply the knowledge gained at university to real world situations".
