Kerry Foods - Logistics Improvement Success!

NAC have been working on strategic Logistics issues within Kerry Foods over a number of months. Colin Pugh Planning Manager said: ‘This project has given us an excellent start in reviewing and developing the robustness and performance in our systems, allowing us to make savings in many areas across the plant. We would definitely recommend this program to other companies within the region'.
For the last few months, NAC Logistics team have worked with Kerry Foods, logistics team, to improve planning, scheduling, forecast accuracy, supplier performance and inventory performance.
In addition to the Logistics work, the project has worked in parallel to the NAC Work Based Learning Team, where the projects on the shop floor for training were strategically linked to the NVQ in Business Improvement Techniques and the BTEC in Lean, allowing Kerry to undertake a more holistic transformation program towards Lean.
