NAC introduces new course to tackle the Green agenda

November 5, 2008 17:11

The profile of sustainable development has dramatically increased over the last few years, which has placed pressure on individuals and companies to monitor the energy they use and make commitments to save as much energy as possible.

This agenda is one that NAC takes seriously and we have therefore increased our portfolio of courses to include the NCFE Certificate in Sustainable Development.

The course teaches learners principles such as:

•·         Living with environmental limits

•·         Achieving a sustainable economy

•·         Promoting good governance

•·         Ensuring a strong, health and just society

Paul Robson, NAC Managing Director said, "In the present economic and environmental climate, it is vital that we try and help companies to save money, and part of this is to save energy.  This level 2 course teaches learners to think about how they and their company use energy in terms of things like production waste, packaging and lighting and what we can do to make savings and help to sustain the environment for future generations."

We are currently delivering the course within the manufacturing sector and based on market demand we are hoping to become one of the UK's largest providers of courses to meet Green Agenda in the next 12 months.  Keep an eye on our website for our Product Sheet on Sustainable Development which will be released soon.
