The logistics team has now saved companies £2.5m in total since starting in January 2007 and has created financial and physical savings at an average rate of £79,000 per company or £14,000 for every intervention day.
Projects range from planning factory layouts and moves, to inventory accuracy/reduction, planning and schedule adherence, right through to transport. The project recently underwent a European Article 4 audit, and the feedback was a ‘well managed project.'
Paul Gough, Commercial Director, said:
"We are delighted with the progress and success of the logistics project and will continue to offer high calibre expertise in logistics to support our clients and One NorthEast".
