The NAC event held 28th January was a great success!
Eight fully signed up suppliers to the project presented to the demonstrator companies and to One NE, Sunderland University and other local North East companies.
Peter Shields Business Specialist, One North east said ‘everything from data management & storage through to RFID stock control & automated transport systems for internal parts movement was presented . . . the presentations were very interesting and relevant'.
Cleaner Air Solutions Improved Performance

The project with Cleaner Air Solutions (CAS) was focussed around improving stock accuracy and stores layouts and the overall assessment of the NAC work with the company was OUTSTANDING!
Funded through European Regional Development Fund (2007 - 2013) ERDF Competitiveness Programme and One North East Single Programme - the Growth Project Logistics has supported CAS with this project.
NAC Fast Track to top 100

SUNDERLAND training consultancy NAC Group has stormed onto the latest Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100, which ranks Britain's 100 private companies with the fastest-growing sales.
The NAC Group is a training, consultancy and outsourcing business that helps public organisations and private companies improve performance to boost productivity, meet green objectives, and up-skill staff.
Based at the Business and Innovation Centre (BIC) in Sunderland NAC employs 40 people and its sales have grown by 92.87% over the last three years with a recorded turnover of 7.6m by July 2008. It has shown further growth despite the recession by recording a turnover of £11m in July 2009.
NAC Group (MSS) wins Logistics 2 Project with One NE

MSS of NAC Group has recently been awarded a substantial contract, by the Regional Development Agency One North East, to deliver logistics support services to companies throughout the Region. NAC won the competitive tender after beating off rivals in a number of universities and international consultancy companies.
In an earlier phase, our logistics team worked with over 71 companies across the North East, and helped them achieve savings of over £3.3 million across Phase 1 including the design phase and the deployment activity.
The Logistics 2 contract will build on this success, with the plan to work with 80 companies, including at least 60 small and medium-sized companies, and to achieve an increase competitive advantage through cost savings over the two year program.
MSS Operations Director Ian Tindle said: "We are delighted to win this contract, and to be able to build on our earlier success. The team has proved repeatedly that practical logistics projects can dramatically improve bottom line savings. Businesses throughout the Region will benefit from the implementation of logistics technologies."
